"This initiative in particular goes with our 3 focus initiatives and board overarching goals...identifying students who are not at standard, and who need additional supports," a staff presenter said. Trustee Stephanie Olsen moved to approve the renewal and Trustee Venita Daniel seconded the motion; the board adopted the contract renewal on a voice vote with four ayes and one absence.
Staff said the work began under an outside consultant model and the renewal supports building district capacity to deliver the practices internally over time.
