On March 5 the Lammersville Unified School District board opened a public hearing on the Preliminary Environmental Assessment (PEA) for a proposed future school site located at 121525 South Tradition Street in Mountain House and then closed the hearing without public comment.
Staff described the 19‑acre site as part of a long‑running transaction with Mountain House developers. "This is related to the 19 acres...The 19 acres was part of the transaction between us and Mountain House developers, and we've had access to this land or at least we have an agreement that the district will get the land," a staff member said. The PEA is one step to make the site build‑ready so District‑approved DSA plans can be submitted to the state funding system, enabling a 50‑04 funding application and potential state match for construction projects.
Staff noted ongoing land‑sale negotiations and said District staff will proceed with environmental and plan work to advance the site while Mello‑Roos bond proceeds and state funding are pursued. The board voted to open the hearing and, with no public comments, voted to close it and return to regular session.
