Hansen students present school programs after Distinguished School recognition

Students and Principal Michelle Baptiste told the Lammersville board that Hansen/Hanson Elementary was named a 2025 California Distinguished School and described student leadership, clubs and community events.
Principal Michelle Baptiste and a group of ASB and NJHS students presented highlights from Hanson/Hansen Elementary, including leadership programs, volunteer projects and school events. "Hanson was named as a 2025 California distinguished school," said Yalani, an ASB student, and students showed photos of rallies, assemblies and leadership trips.
The students described Tigers tickets, monthly student awards and recent leadership activities including an 8th-grade trip to a Castle State conference. Board members and parents applauded; the board welcomed the students and thanked them for the presentation before moving to the next agenda items.
