Robert Jubanville, a Democratic candidate for Norfolk County district attorney, told a Brookline Interactive Group interviewer that his decades-long career in courts and prior elected service motivate his campaign. “I passed the bar and I started practicing criminal law for 43 years,” Jubanville said, adding that he served 10 years on the governor's council and currently works as a clerk magistrate.
He said the DA's office needs leadership that combines legal experience with management skills. “They have a large office to run and they just couldn't take the time to prepare for a case,” Jubanville said, arguing that an elected DA is primarily an administrator who must hire, train and supervise assistant district attorneys. He said restoring public trust in Norfolk County requires transparency, accountability and adherence to procedure.
