At its Oct. 7 meeting the Clark County Board of Commissioners updated travel reimbursement rates, approved temporary Auditor staffing changes for training, and approved the county’s claims and payroll as presented.
Commissioner Francis Hass moved and Commissioner Sara Gjerde seconded approval for the Auditor’s office to reduce staff Nov. 19–20, 2025 for election training in Pierre. Commissioners also approved updating travel reimbursement to conform to State rates effective Oct. 1, 2025: the low mileage rate is .315 per mile when using a personal vehicle and a county vehicle is available; when a county vehicle is not available the reimbursement is $.70 per mile. Meal reimbursements were set at Breakfast $6, Lunch $14 and Dinner $20.
The board denied a claim by Performance Towing and approved the remainder of claims totaling $145,450.67; payroll was recorded at $119,621.05. The motions were recorded as unanimous. The minutes list detailed departmental claim line items and amounts; the Auditor was authorized to issue payments.
