Cowley County approves multiple contracts and motions, including tax-foreclosure initiation and budget transfers

The Board renewed a contract with eHawk for the RePath Program at $2,000 per month; Community Based Services Director Brennan Hadley said the cost is fully covered by grant funding. The Board approved the renewal 3-0. County Administrator Lucas Goff presented a coroner contract with Dr. Todd Peters that allows Dr. Peters to appoint a deputy when he is unavailable; Joe Hanna will serve as deputy. The coroner contract was approved 3-0.
County Clerk Karen Madison presented a property tax relief application from Bryan and Noel Richardson; the Board voted 3-0 to approve their application. Goff presented Board Order 2026‑01 to initiate tax‑foreclosure procedures on properties with delinquent tax liens; the Board approved initiating procedures, 3-0. The Board also approved Resolution No. 2026‑01 authorizing FY25 year‑end budget transfers; that motion passed 3-0.
All motions were recorded as unanimous (3-0). Several items noted in discussion — such as the coroner’s appointment of a deputy and grant coverage for RePath — provide operational details staff will implement following Board approval.
