Township Clerk Mark Zschack told the Committee that a lighting retrofit at the municipal building began last week and will continue until all locations are completed; he described the work as temporarily disruptive but worthwhile for the cost savings.
On Highland Avenue the Clerk said the township will mill the entire project area to reduce driveway/intersection milling costs by using a CO-OP procurement, estimating the project at just under $67,000 and reducing pavement thickness to 1.5 inches to lower expense. He also reminded residents that Green Township Day will be held the coming Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and noted a special meeting may be scheduled to interview CMFO candidates to allow overlap with outgoing staff before August 31.
