The Green Township Committee adopted Ordinance 2026-08 on June 15 authorizing $190,000 in improvements to Hedden Road. The funds include $112,507 from the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s 2026 Municipal Aid Program and $77,493 from the township’s General Capital-Reserve for road improvements.
Deputy Mayor Michael Rose moved to close the public hearing and adopt the ordinance; Bader Qarmout seconded, and the measure passed on roll call (Ayes: Phillips, Qarmout, Rose, Mayor Raffay; Abstention: DeYoung). The ordinance sets the Township’s appropriation and amends the capital budget to reflect the project funding sources.
The ordinance text states the average period of usefulness for the project is 15 years and that no portion of the cost will be assessed against specially benefited property. Work is scheduled to proceed under the township’s capital improvements program; the ordinance will take effect after publication according to law.
