Staff urges public input on "santafeforward.org" and introduces two new preservation planners

Preservation staff told the board about the santafeforward.org survey and vision-summary document and introduced two new staffers: River Jarmon (planner) and Graham White (planner technician).
At the July 28 meeting, preservation staff asked the public and board members to provide input on the city’s general-plan engagement via santafeforward.org and highlighted a published vision-summary document available from the site. "We're soliciting public feedback, and, you can just find it there on the front page," staff said.
Chair Rios invited new employees from the preservation division to introduce themselves. River Jarmon (who said they moved from Salt Lake City) identified themself as a planner with the historic preservation division; Graham White said he had started work recently as a planner technician and is finishing a master's degree at UNM. The introductions were brief; the board welcomed both staff and noted the next meeting date (Aug. 11, 2026).
Staff also flagged a National Trust for Historic Preservation webinar about proposed changes to Section 106 and federal preservation issues and said it would post links for members. Board members asked staff to circulate webinar access information and related materials.
