The board spent an extended session reviewing its six strategic pillars and suggested refinements and additional objectives. Members recommended an explicit, recurring goal to implement and monitor a technology-management and governance framework so capital needs and refresh schedules can be planned and communicated. "Implement and monitor a framework to improve management and governance of technology," a trustee proposed during the discussion.
Trustees also discussed more intentional engagement with county, municipal and development partners so the district has a "seat at the table" during planning and permitting that affects school capacity and capital needs. The board asked staff to develop a rolling five-year capital plan, refine goal language for clarity, and present a public-facing education plan to help community groups (PTAs and partners) understand referendum and capital requests when they occur.
