Ben Pacharger reported the Planning/Building Department completed 98 building inspections and issued 58 permits since the last meeting, including 10 permits for new single-family homes in Liberty Village. He said commercial permitting remains strong with several improvement-location and foundation permits, and a multi-building convenience-store/fueling station plan on State Road 32 is currently under review.
Pacharger said code enforcement continues to be busy and staff met with the health department to coordinate responses for unsafe buildings; he encouraged residents to submit questions or concerns through the city's online iWORK system for tracking. He noted a small development plan for a 4,000-square-foot trucking company building on South Indianapolis Road is also under review.
The board thanked planning staff for the update and no action was required other than routine coordination.
