Missy Krulik, representing Heart of Lebanon, told the Board of Works the Decades music festival was rescheduled to Aug. 22 and requested the same street-closure footprint previously approved, with an additional closure to host an elevated band on Boone County Cake Company’s patio.
"The event time is from 6 to 10PM," Krulik said, noting the vintage-village area would run until 11 p.m. She also asked that three parking spaces east and west of Alley Oop be closed to accommodate a band for the 1920s–1940s-era performance.
The board moved to approve the modified street-closure request and the motion carried on a voice vote. Later in the same agenda item Krulik asked for an additional short Main Street segment for a junior market to accommodate up to 28 youth vendors; the board approved that closure (closure time requested 4:15–7:30 p.m.).
The approvals were routine and taken by motion with a second and voice votes; no board member requested a roll-call tally during the meeting. The festival organizer said the headliner will be Rockology Chicago and reminded attendees the event is planned to run in Memorial Park and along closed segments of Main and Meridian streets.
