Public Utilities Director Chase Gowan and Assistant Parish Engineer Luke Haney presented Operation and Maintenance Manuals for the district’s wells, water system, tanks, and the collection/ sewer system. Mr. Haney said the manuals document current operations and formalize inspection protocols for areas prone to issues. Lynn Beaty moved to approve the manuals and Chris Marsiglia seconded; the motion carried unanimously with 11 yes votes and one absent.
The board recorded that the manuals are intended to formalize existing processes, document protocols for problem-prone areas, and allow for more frequent inspection. Approval authorizes staff to implement the documented procedures.
