Meade County commissioners were told June 1 that their offer to purchase the Family Dollar building has been accepted and that the structure will house the health department and extension office.
County Clerk Amber Holsted reported that County Attorney Clay Kuhns confirmed the acceptance and the commissioners discussed financing options with Stan Shewey of Stockgrowers’ State Bank. The board agreed to have several financing options prepared for presentation at the next commissioners meeting so members can compare terms and repayment approaches.
The discussion did not record a formal vote to finalize financing; instead, the board directed staff and advisers to assemble options. No dollar amount for the purchase was recorded in the meeting minutes.
