County Appraiser Ryan Janzen requested out-of-state travel to attend the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) conference in Orlando, Florida, Sept. 21–24, 2025. Janzen said the trip would provide continuing-education credits and noted he was invited to present, which helps offset conference costs.
The Commission approved the travel request by a 3-0 vote (Duft/Bartel). Meeting minutes record that the attendee will pay for their own travel expenses; no county travel stipend or budget allocation was recorded in the minutes.
