The Elk County Board of Commissioners took several administrative actions at its Oct. 14 meeting:
- Approved the regular meeting minutes of Sept. 8 and Sept. 29, 2025 (motions carried). - Adopted a DOT drug and alcohol testing policy to be added to the County Policy Handbook for Public Works (motion carried 3-0). - Approved an engineering contract with Kirkham Michael & Associates for the Osage Trail bridge (motion carried 3-0). - Appointed Commissioner Perry Russell as the county’s KCAMP voting delegate (motion carried 2-1) and as the county’s KWORCC voting delegate (motion carried 2-0). - Approved the final payment of $150,607.00 to Community Building Solutions for the Courthouse HVAC and lighting project. - Approved warrants in the amount of $80,140.19.
Several executive sessions to discuss non‑elected personnel and legal matters were held; each return to open session recorded no action. The meeting adjourned at 3:12 p.m.
