The roll call recorded Chair Daugherty, Vice-Chair Brandon Davis, Commissioner John Forbus and Commissioner Bertha K. McElrath as present; Commissioner Ronnie Joiner was not present. The meeting opened with an invocation from Chair Daugherty and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited by those in attendance.
Vice-Chair Brandon Davis moved to approve the meeting agenda; Commissioner John Forbus seconded and the agenda was unanimously approved. The single new-business item on the agenda was a resolution authorizing the county to intervene as a defendant in ongoing litigation concerning the Alabama Simplified Seller Use Tax (SSUT). After the commission moved and seconded the resolution, the minutes record the action as "unanimously approved." The session concluded after Commissioner John Forbus moved to adjourn, a motion seconded by Vice-Chair Brandon Davis.
