Geneva County engineer reports bridge completions, staff promotions and $380,500 net guarantee for truck auction

Barfield also presented the finalized agreement with J M Wood Auction for the sale of two dump trucks and the patch truck, reporting a net guarantee of $380,500. He noted the contractor is tearing out the old bridge at another site and that the department has been brush-cutting on several roads. A four-way stop installation in the town of Black was scheduled for Wednesday; Barfield explained the county charges municipalities for certain traffic-control services that require engineering work.
