"We've added back in hunting club with lodge and athletic/health club," Ruth said while walking through the permitted-use chart changes. Commissioners sought clarification on whether lodges could be leased (staff said the property owner must request the permit and leaseholders cannot build structures without the owner's permission) and on the manufactured-home minimum lot change (staff said the prior ordinance allowed placement if setbacks were met; the amendment sets minimum size to 5 acres in AG zoning). The board approved the text amendment after the public-hearing process; staff noted other items (foundation surveys, chicken-farm language) are tabled pending further research.
