The Troup County Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission approved a major subdivision application by Leaky Land LLC for property along Highway 18 between Drummond Road/West Drummond Road and Highway 18. Staff presented the plat and said the proposal meets ordinance requirements.
Staff said lots in the subdivision will range roughly from 2.1 to 15.4 acres, will be served by private wells and septic systems, and have external driveways. The developer's agent, Cameron Byers, came forward to answer detailed questions about lot frontage and driveway placement. There were no variances requested and no public opposition during the hearing. After discussion, a motion to approve the major subdivision was made and carried.
The commission's approval allows the applicant to proceed with final platting and required permitting; staff noted driveway requirements and that a printed plat would be provided to commissioners for review.
