Sara Gjerde moved the hire and Chris Sass seconded; the motion recorded approval with all voting aye. The minutes state the new hire "will be required to ride along on at least ten runs with probation period at discretion of current Ambulance Administrator" and that pay "will be current rate for Station II split among staff on the run." Colleen Hohm told the board that "additional staffing is needed at both stations," and the board agreed to advertise to fill open shifts and defer pay-schedule decisions to the 2026 Salary Schedule process.
Commissioners also approved repairs to Ambulance 189. The record states the rig "will be out of service for a half a day when repairs are being done" and estimates the cost at approximately $2,500. The repair motion was moved by Terry Schlagel and seconded by Francis Hass and was recorded as carried.
