Planner Alex Kovach told council that Mr. Brown confirmed he wants to annex only the smaller parcel shown in the boundary adjustment survey; the city attorney was directed to draft an annexation ordinance for council consideration. The minutes record council discussion but no formal annexation ordinance was passed at this meeting.
For land use permit Parcel 071732000, potential purchasers Tyler and Rikki Schmitt asked what infrastructure improvements would be required if they developed the site. Staff said the city would require sewer and water to be brought to the site, installation of sidewalks and possibly streets, and recommended involving city engineers Anderson Perry & Associates and considering a late-comers agreement to recoup a portion of any improvements. Curt Carpenter was asked to set up a follow-up meeting with the prospective owners.
