E&B Paving the apparent low bidder for CCMG 2026 resurfacing; commissioners take bids under advisement

Janice Hughes of the Miami County Highway Department opened four bids for the CCMG 2026 resurfacing project on Wabash Road and Paw Paw Pike. The bids recorded were: E&B Paving $1,099,741.00 (apparent low bidder); Gaunt and Son $1,216,375.60; DC Construction $1,298,051.73; Finn and Brown $1,447,008.05. Hughes stated that award of the project is contingent on state CCMG funding.
Commissioner Mark Horner moved to take all bids under advisement pending the state's award decision; Commissioner Brenda Weaver seconded and the motion passed 3-0. No contract was awarded at the meeting; staff will await the state funding decision before returning to the board.
