Jim Deniston of the Miami County IT Department asked the board to authorize a lease for new Sharp office equipment because replacement parts for the current machines are unavailable. Deniston said the lease would carry a monthly cost of $27.66 while producing roughly $1,200 per month in reduced service costs.
Commissioner Brenda Weaver moved to authorize the board chairman to sign the lease; Commissioner Mark Horner seconded and the motion passed unanimously, 3-0. The board did not indicate further procurement conditions in the record; staff will proceed with executing the lease paperwork.
