Trustee Fernando G. Herrera presented a historical publication donated by Charlie Cravens and asked that copies be included in the City of Anthony archives and shared with Anthony, Texas, to preserve shared regional history. The trustee apologized for any concern about the timing of the item and said his intent was preservation of local history.
Herrera also expressed support for recognizing local veterans through a proposed roadway naming and encouraged residents to participate in the City's SurveyMonkey survey to provide input. Trustee Genaro Soriano suggested such presentations be placed on future agendas rather than raised during public comment, and trustees discussed following proper meeting procedures going forward.
