At 5:03 p.m. the Finance Committee of the Whole opened its meeting and, following roll call, Ald. Prill moved and Ald. Triemstra seconded a motion to convene into closed session to interview applicants for the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer/Police Clerk position; the motion carried by unanimous consent and the committee entered closed session at 5:05 p.m.
The records show the Committee conducted interviews and discussions of applicants during the closed session. At 7:06 p.m., the Committee dismissed Clerk/Treasurer Tamra M. Harrington and Police Chief Wiorek so members could continue deliberations on the candidates; the committee then reached a decision to offer the position to Jamie Meilahn and later adjourned.
