Martha of NEK Environmental Services presented the agency’s annual report to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners, reporting 54 new wastewater systems, 52 final use permits, eight private well screens and 16 consultations. She also noted one nuisance complaint in Denison and said the county receives strong service at a reasonable cost from NEK Environmental Services.
Martha said the agency licenses wastewater system installers and haulers and provides technical assistance and consultations to property owners; she highlighted the workload figures as evidence of ongoing activity in unincorporated parts of the county.
