Committee members agreed at the Jan. 22 Executive Committee meeting to conduct five site visits this year to better understand local behavioral-health services. Cassandra Eslami provided an updated list of potential sites and noted last year’s visits; the group chose Progress Foundation, Mentis, Stanford Sierra Youth & Families, Serenity Homes (which recently entered a contract with the county) and at least one school wellness center.
Members said they want to include a school wellness center and assigned outreach tasks for scheduling: someone will contact a Monica who previously served as principal at Highlands (Napa Unified School District) to arrange the school visit. The committee flagged Serenity Homes for priority because of its new county contract and will confirm lead assignments and dates in subsequent meetings.
