Highway Commissioner Chad Scheinoha briefed the Calumet County Highway Committee on recent department activities, including snow-and-ice control operations, current staffing levels and ongoing equipment maintenance. He provided an overview of the department’s 2025 performance and reviewed year-end and carry-forward dollars in the department budget.
Scheinoha also gave brief updates on engineering and construction projects: County Trunk Highway (CTH) M; CTH E bridge and road construction design; CTH PP storm sewer design; a proposed pedestrian crossing on CTH KK; a funded CTH B project; State Trunk Highway (STH) 32/57 paving and the STH 55 bridge; a United States Highway bridge project; and the Bruckner Road Bridge. He noted funding-program updates including an SS4 grant award, Local Road Improvement Program funding and Local Bridge Program funding. The minutes record Supervisor Ronald Dietrich departing the meeting at 10:51 a.m.
