Calumet County to solicit 2026 hot-mix asphalt bids; deadlines set for March 2

The Calumet County Highway Committee approved bid specifications Feb. 4 for Hot Mix Asphalt purchases for the county’s 2026 paving program. Highway Commissioner Chad Scheinoha presented the specifications and proposed schedule.
The committee approved advertising the bid packet on the county website, in the Appleton Post-Crescent, and in the Tri-County News for the weeks of Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, 2026. Bids are due Monday, March 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.; bids will be opened and read at 9:15 a.m. on the same day, and bid results will be reviewed with an award recommendation pending Highway Committee approval on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The motion to approve the bid packet and schedule was moved by Supervisor Ronald Dietrich and seconded by Supervisor Ty Stuckmann and carried unanimously.
