The Morgan County Board of Assessors met April 28, 2026, in Madison and conducted routine business including approval of minutes, homestead applications and multiple CUVA/FLPA actions. Chairman Nicole Wasendorf called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.; board members present were Mrs. Nicole Wasendorf, Mr. Bill Malone, Mr. Kevin Hanville and Mr. Jay Moon. Chief Appraiser Robert Bailey and staff were also present.
During the meeting the board unanimously approved the March 2026 minutes after a motion by Mr. Bill Malone and second by Mr. Jay Moon. The board also approved a list of remaining accepted homestead applications presented by Board Secretary Heather Gardner (motion by Mr. Kevin Hanville, second by Mr. Jay Moon), and performed multiple formal CUVA/FLPA votes of approval, denial and renewal (see related articles for parcel-level details). The board authorized the chief appraiser to sign CUVA/FLPA release forms on older applications when a new, renewal or continuing covenant is submitted. The meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m.; the next scheduled meeting is May 26, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
