Treasurer Tony Canobi asked the board to approve a one‑year contract with Professional Office Services of Waterloo to handle vehicle registration mailings; the contract would lower annual costs from about $34,000 to $30,000 and enable electronic delivery options that could further reduce per‑mailing costs. "This would actually result in some cost savings, lowering our annual cost for this printing from about 34,000 to 30,000," Canobi said.
Under human resources, Vanessa described three out‑of‑cycle organizational changes: reclassifying a senior office assistant into a benefits specialist and a HR generalist into a recruitment specialist (budget neutral), reclassifying a medical laboratory technician position into a medical assistant to better align clinic operations, and creating a grant‑funded childcare nurse consultant position to meet HHS staffing recommendations. Staff said the latter is grant‑funded and would be eliminated if grant funding ceased.
