He said Scott County was allocated $33,600,000 in ARPA funds and had earned about $2,600,000 in interest through November, giving roughly $36,150,000 to work with; the county has obligated all funds by the federal obligation deadline and has about $1.9 million still to expend on specific projects including a long‑term housing security program and the Mount Joy stormwater project.
Farmer also outlined a budget amendment preview affecting several departments and capital projects, including public‑safety and roads equipment timing, a CDBG grant reimbursement, and adjustments tied to capital project schedules. "We were allocated $33,600,000 of award money, and we've had interest income through November of about $2,600,000," Farmer said. He said remaining ARPA obligations will likely be expended this fiscal year and noted interest income is at the board's discretion.
