LCDBG projects near closeout; Hazard Mitigation generators approved and ready to bid

Henry Shuler told the jury the LCDBG sewer project in Collins Subdivision is now closed out and remains under warranty; the LCDBG HVAC project (new air conditioning at Dodson Library, Main Street Library and the Health Unit) is nearly closed out. He emphasized that these project closeouts must be completed before the parish can be eligible for another LCDBG block grant.
Shuler said West Winn will instead pursue funding through the Drinking Water Fund because consultant costs are no longer covered under the block grant rules. He also reported the Hazard Mitigation project to install generators has been approved and obligated by the state and is ready to be advertised for bids.
