Police Jury adopts revised Fleet Safety Program, updates job descriptions and appointments

Mrs. Deionne Carpenter moved to amend the Winn Parish Police Jury Personnel and Operational Manual to add a revised Fleet Safety Program; Karen Tyler explained the recommendation came from Travelers Insurance and that the LRPIC Board of 13 rural parishes voted to adopt the policy by August 1, 2025. "Most of this fleet program is already in our manual but there are a few changes that protect the Jury and employees," Tyler said.
The Jury also approved revised job descriptions for Secretary/Treasurer, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Payroll/Accounting Clerk and Receptionist. By separate motions the Jury declared Michelle Lonadier as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Barbara Butler as Payroll/Accounting Clerk, and Jaciann Hickman as Receptionist; each motion was recorded as passing 6 yeas, 0 nays, 1 abstained.
