Resident presses council on Convent Levee Ramp dust and flooding; council offers support letter

Resident Keith LeBlanc described ongoing dust and flooding problems at the Convent Levee Ramp on Highway 44 and said he had contacted a range of officials and agencies, including Ed Price, Ken Brass, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the Pontchartrain Levee Board and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Operations Director Rick Webre said he had called the Levee Board and offered St. James Parish equipment and a crew to assist, but that the Levee Board declined the offer. Several council members and Parish President Peter Dufresne asked questions; the council agreed to issue a letter supporting Mr. LeBlanc in his efforts to get action from the named entities.
