Weed Officer to draft staffing job description and budget estimate after board flags recruitment limits

Weed Officer Derrill Fick told the board he is often out spraying state highways and cannot complete many inspections during the season. Chairman Shaun Sipma cautioned that North Dakota government entities are limited to a 3% budget increase, so additional funds "may not be available."
As a result, the board asked Fick and Secretary Sarah Walker to prepare a job description for additional seasonal staff and to estimate the extra budget required. Commissioners John Fjeldahl and Jim Rostadt told the board any extra funding would need to be submitted to the County Commission as an amended budget request.
