Two residents used the newly added public-comment portion of the June 11 special meeting to press the Board of Trustees on maintenance and transparency. Adrian Perez asked the board to "determine the agency responsible to address overgrown weeds along the Highway 404 jogging trail and adjacent median," urged the City to "fill vacant positions through an open hiring process" and asked that public-comment opportunities be preserved to promote transparency.
Martha Guttierrez raised separate maintenance and technology concerns, expressing "concerns regarding the condition of the golf course, the anonymity of the City's online reporting system, and the quality of the audio and video equipment used during public meetings," and she recommended the City improve those systems to better serve the community. The board did not take action on the individual requests during the meeting; items were recorded for staff follow-up.
