Applicant Tina Johnson told the board she recently purchased a tractor to maintain a large, wooded property and cannot reasonably store equipment elsewhere because of repeated tree fall, steep slopes, and drainage issues. She described the proposed building as roughly "44 by 25" feet with three bays and said she has planted screening trees and will apply to match the structure’s facade to the house. "I just can't do it no more," Johnson said, explaining the practical need for equipment storage as she ages and can no longer move heavy loads by hand.
Board members examined topography maps and debated whether alternative siting was feasible; staff reiterated that building permits and site-plan compliance remain required. The motion to approve carried; staff said the approval includes the recommended buffers and conditions and reminded the applicant to obtain building permits.
