Police Jury approves conditional use for Super Save at 4980 Benton Road

At a public hearing June 17, the Bossier Parish Police Jury approved Ordinance No. 5118, granting a conditional use to permit the sale of high- and low-content alcohol off-premise at a Super Save convenience store with fuel sales proposed for 4980 Benton Road in Police Jury District 6.
Applicant Andrew Querbes, representing Vintage Realty, described the three-acre site and said the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development requires installation of a deceleration lane; the project plan calls for a 10,000-square-foot store with a deli, groceries and eight gasoline pumps. "The intersection will be located 300 feet away from the turn into the site," Querbes said during remarks.
The ordinance notes the application was approved by the Bossier City–Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission and that a public hearing was held before the police jury. Mr. Chris Marsiglia offered the ordinance and Ms. Pam Glorioso seconded; the jury adopted it unanimously. No public opposition was recorded during the hearing.
