The St. Bernard Parish Personnel Board reviewed and approved a set of administrative edits and initializations from the Administration on April 15, 2026. The package was moved for review by Timothy P. Doody and later approved "in globo" (all together) after discussion; the board then voted to approve the edits collectively.
During discussion CAO Donald Bourgeois clarified two employee records reflecting a reduction from an 80-hour to a 70-hour workweek, noting that office employees are typically on 70-hour schedules while field staff work 80 hours. Bourgeois also revisited an earlier March item involving an employee taking on additional part-time duties in Human Resources; he said the Administration had solicited opinions from the Attorney General and the Ethics Board regarding employees working across departments and had been advised that the arrangement was permissible. Mr. Doody and Chairman Imbraguglio both indicated they were satisfied that the edits could be approved at the current meeting. The motion to approve all edits in globo passed unanimously.
Human Resources will implement the personnel-file changes and the Administration will proceed consistent with the Attorney General and Ethics Board guidance cited during the meeting.
