The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners approved a special designated license for Howland Volunteer Fire and Rescue Inc. to hold a fundraiser rodeo on Sept. 12, 2026 at the Randy Adams Memorial Rodeo Arena.
Tyler Stellick, who identified himself during the meeting, described the arena as a family-owned facility built in honor of his uncle and said proceeds from the annual fundraiser support the volunteer fire department's equipment purchases. "All the funds raised go to the volunteer fire department so we can buy equipment that the county board can't fund so we can better serve our community," he said. The board moved and approved the license by roll call.
