Virginia Tourism Corporation offers planning support as Patrick County eyes strategic plan

Hunter directed the council to VATC.org for additional tools and resources.
Hunter highlighted VATC’s capacity to work directly with localities on strategic planning and destination development. The retreat record notes that Patrick County posted 17.1% growth in 2023; James (Chair) said the county will work with Hunter and VATC to develop a local strategic plan in the near term. The presentation emphasized planning assistance rather than immediate policy or budget commitments.
