On July 21, 2026 the Osceola County Board of Supervisors voted to enter a closed session under Iowa Code 21.5(1)(c) "to discuss strategy with Counsel regarding matters presently in litigation—Dorsey & Whitney, LLP litigation." Supervisor Mike Schulte moved the closed-session motion, which was seconded by LeRoy DeBoer; the record shows the ayes were Schulte, DeBoer, Vande Hoef, Loring and Helmers.
