Board members praised cemetery crews for their quick response after a storm uprooted a tree near headstones and said the wall at Memorial Park was repaired soon afterwards.
“I really wanna compliment those guys for getting out there as quickly as they did,” the Chair said after reviewing the cleanup and repairs. Members said the contractor who inspected the wall reported capstones are starting to show wear and recommended the board begin planning for future replacement or maintenance.
The board noted that scheduled masonry work was already planned for the memorial wall and that inspectors identified capstone deterioration as a long‑term concern. Members agreed to track the condition of capstones and include potential repair costs in future maintenance planning.
