Michael Bomberger, Community Health Care System Director of Business Development and Special Projects, informed the committee that CHCS will run a full‑scale exercise and continue health fairs, and that the system plans to open an obstetric‑focused clinic in Marysville.
Bomberger also reported that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has terminated Health Care Coalition contracts across the state. He presented the CHCS exercise and clinic as part of continued local preparedness and service expansion amid the statewide contract change.
The committee recorded CHCS’s planned exercise and the statewide KDHE contract action as matters of local concern for continuity of health‑sector coordination; the LEPC will track how the termination affects future coalition activities and exercises.
