The Madison County Board of Commissioners passed multiple formal items on the agenda. They approved Resolution 36-2026 to expand standards and requirements for filing a certificate of survey with the Clerk and Recorder, and Resolution 38-2026, a correction to fiscal-year 26/27 salaries for elected officials and employees to fix an attachment error.
The board also granted a personnel-policy firearm exception for a county employee under the written personnel policy; staff said the county attorney reviewed the exception and the board agreed to send a follow-up letter outlining steps a–d to document the action without identifying the employee. Additionally, the board approved a Tracy Foundation letter of intent aimed at the school and a letter of support for Pennington Bridal. Each motion was moved, seconded and carried with recorded ayes.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed with ayes recorded by the Chair.
