Morgan County commissioners amend agenda, add pending litigation to executive session

The Morgan County Board of Commissioners amended its May 19 work session agenda, removing Item #13 (Discussion of the Recreation Commission) and, on the county attorney's recommendation, removing Item #14 (discussion of Sec. 58-81 of the Code of Ordinances) and adding Pending Litigation to the meeting's executive session.
Commissioner Nathan Park moved to remove Item #13; Commissioner Ben Riden Jr. seconded. The motion passed 3–1 with Park, Riden and Commissioner Carl Jones voting in favor and Commissioner Philipp von Hanstein opposed. County Attorney Patrick Jaugstetter then recommended removing Item #14 and adding Pending Litigation to the end-of-meeting executive session; Commissioner von Hanstein moved that change, Commissioner Park seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The amended agenda was approved unanimously by the Board.
The sequence of votes was recorded on the official meeting minutes. These amendments change how and when the Board will consider the Recreation Commission matter and the zoning-code item: the Recreation Commission discussion was removed from the current agenda, and the zoning-code item will not be discussed in open session but may be considered in executive session under the pending-litigation designation.
