County approves $1,000 Travel & Tourism donation to BPW car show scholarships

"We are an organization of women helping women," Wang said, noting BPW awarded $9,550 in scholarships in 2025 and has selected 24 students to receive $11,950 for the 2026–2027 school year.
Commissioner Carlson moved to donate $1,000 from the Travel & Tourism fund to the BPW Car Show; Commissioner Mayo seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The funds will support scholarships awarded to local high school seniors and college students as part of the organization’s annual car-show fundraiser.
