"It counts both directions," the vendor demonstration and staff discussion confirmed. The board discussed capabilities for future grant support and a transportation master plan; one commissioner noted that collecting local traffic data could reduce future consultant costs.
A motion to authorize Road & Bridge to purchase the Armadillo radar traffic collector from Coral Sales Company for $3,676.07 was moved, seconded and approved by roll call. Staff said they will draft the purchase order and proceed with obtaining the unit and associated software for local traffic data collection.
